History
St. Peter's was formed in November of 2007 when a majority of the members made a stand for the authority of Scripture. The resulting St. Peter's has been Amazing and God is truly at work here. 2008 saw our Church relocate to our current location and exciting growth. Volunteers stepped up to lead our music, youth, vestry, and in all other areas.
Mission & Non-Negotiables
St. Peter's has established a mission statement and will focus on the following mission priorities. Currently...
Our Rector
Fr. Jim Paul has been our leader for over 10 years now. We are blessed to have his leadership and that of his wife Mary Anne.
The Vestry
The leadership of St. Peter's Anglican Church is comprised of all different types of members of the parish who make a committment to a three year term of involvement in Vestry Ministry. The Vestry is made up of the Rector, Sr. Warden, Jr. Warden, Treasurer, Clerk, and members at large.
Our Sign and Shield
The crossed keys symbolize the keys to Heaven as promised to St. Peter. The crozier, or pastoral staff, symbolizes episcopal authority as St. Peter was the first Bishop of Rome. The crozier and keys together form Chi Rho, which are the first two letters in the Greek alphabet spelling of Christ. The upside down cross is a reminder that St. Peter was crucified head down on a cross. The red background of the shield symbolizes the Blood of Christ. Our shield was designed by Patrick Edmiston in 2008.
