Outreach at St. Peter's
We have been blessed to have a special position for outreach in the community and with them members who are dedicated to seeing that happen. To join the outreach committee, contact us.

Brazilian Student - Gracelia Ferreria Dias Lima
Each year a student at the Centro Rural Educafe (School) in northeastern Brazil is sponsored by the parish.  This rural school provides education, healthcare, family support, and meals to its students. The sponsorship is through Socially Conscious Coffee of Denver (www.sccoffee.org) who developed the school near one of its coffee plantations.

BOMA Mission
St. Peter's Church supports the mission work of Father David Goch Aylik at the Boma Mission in southeast Sudan in the Upper Nile Region by providing his entire salary for the year.  Amidst war, hunger, disease, lack of clothing, and tens of thousands of Darfurian refugees, the Boma Mission provides hope, food, health care, education, and the Word of God.  Find Out More...

Thanksgiving Baskets
Annually over 60 local families receive a basket of food for their Thanksgiving Day dinner.  The basket typically  includes: a turkey, stuffing, vegetables, potatoes, pie fixings, bread, fruit, and a Bible.  The baskets are prepared and distributed by members of the parish each Sunday before Thanksgiving Day.

Catholic Charities Mission - Fort Collins
For each month of the year that has a fifth Sunday, members of the parish provide service and support for homeless meal preparation at The Mission of Catholic Services Northern in Fort Collins.

Fort Collins Church Network
St. Peter's is a member of the Fort Collins Church Network, the FCCN. A number of the pastors of local churches are pictured here on retreat at Mount Saint Malo in Estes Park.

The Gideons
St. Peter's Church supports the international ministry known as the Gideons.  Annually the Gideons distribute millions of Bibles worldwide in an effort to spread the word of Christ.  Several members of the parish are members of the Gideons and annual a presentation is made to the parish about their work.

Needles for the Lord
Members of the parish participate in "Needles for the Lord".  This ministry of women who quilt, sew and knit has made hundreds of items over the years for cancer patients and those who are ill.  They also provide a new infant quilt to newly baptized children of the parish.

Operation Christmas Child
Prior to each Christmas shoe box size boxes are filled with useful school supplies and toys for the Franklin Graham Ministries Operation Christmas Child.  The boxes are distributed to children around the nation or world where the need is greatest.
