The Rev. Canon Daniel J. Klooster

Rector

Fr. Dan serves as the Rector of St. Peter's. He graduated 1981 from Randolph-Macon College (Ashland, VA) with BA in Religious Studies.

Dan married Kathryn Pike in 1984, and they have two children, Andrew and Susannah. Dan and Kathy were active in lay ministry at Truro Epsicopal (Fairfax, VA) during the 1980s working in leadership of both the Evangelism Explosion and Marriage Encounter programs.

Dan attended The School for Urban Mission in 1990 (a non-degree immersion program in Washington, DC), and in 1990 answered The Lord's call to serve with the South American Missionary Society.

Following a period of academic preparation at Trinity School for Minsitry (Ambridge, PA) they served as church planters in Montevideo with the Anglican Diocese of Uruguay.

Dan and Kathy returned to the US to complete seminary in 1996, and graduated from Trinity with MA in Mission and Evangelism. He then accepted a call to direct the start-up of Gateway Mission Training Center (El Paso, TX) in 1999.

Dan was ordained to the diaconate in 1999, and the priesthood in 2000. He accepted the call to serve as rector of St Peter's Anglican in 2015.

The Rev. Deacon Larry Doyle

Senior Deacon, Director of Outreach

Larry had a 45-year career in various Information Technology positions doing technical, sales and management for Martin Marietta and IBM. Larry is also a military veteran, serving in the US Air Force from 1966-1969, Texas, Oklahoma, Vietnam, and England.

Larry received his diaconal formation education in the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado from 1996-1999. He was ordained on November 6, 1999 as a vocational deacon, and is experienced with church planting and serving in various Episcopal and Anglican parishes.

In 2012, he participated in a medical mission to Haiti, which impacted his life deeply. Larry also directs the St. Peter's outreach ministries, including planning a short-term mission team to Belize. He is also involved in preaching and teaching ministry at St. Peter's.

The Rev. Deacon Jonathan Wretlind

Deacon, Music Director

Jonathan is an artist and musician, serving St. Peter's with his talents by planning and leading our music. Jonathan graduated in 2011 with an M.Div. from Denver Seminary, and holds a B.F.A. in design from Art Center. He was ordained in October 2014 as a deacon in the Anglican Church of North America, and has served as a hospital/hospice chaplain since 2006.

He also manages our websites and is involved with teaching and preaching on occasion.

The Rev. Father James Paul

Rector Emeritus

The Reverend James C. Paul is Rector Emeritus of St. Peter’s having served as its founding Rector from 2007 until May of 2015.  Previously he served the congregation beginning in 1998 when they were known as St. Andrew’s Church.   

He is a former public school teacher and was ordained in 1994 and served in Loveland and Fort Collins before he answered a call to serve as a priest for the present congregation.  He is married to Mary Anne and they have one son, Michael, who lives in Fort Collins.  Mary Anne is a paralegal and Michael works in IT for FedEx.  

Jim presently serves on the music team and does supply work as a celebrant and preacher and teaches an occasional Adult Formation class.  He is an avid vegetable gardener and golfer and enjoys traveling now that he is retired.

Jerry Webb

Senior Warden

Gerald E. ”Jerry” Webb has served as Senior Warden since February 2016.

Jerry and Bonnie moved to Colorado from the San Diego area in 2012 to be near daughter and family. They came to worship at St. Peter’s in 2013. Jerry was elected to Vestry in 2014. He also served as Senior Warden for Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal) in Bonita, California and served two three year terms on vestry. Active in the Cursillo Community, Jerry served as Rector for a San Diego men’s weekend in 2002.

A native San Diegan, Jerry earned a four-year national scholarship to Rutgers University where he lettered in track and field while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree. Enrolled in Army ROTC at Rutgers, he was commissioned in the Regular Army upon graduation in 1960, serving continuously until his retirement as a Colonel in 1985. While in the Army, he was a distinguished graduate of the Army Command and Staff College, a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University and earned a Master of Public Administration at the George Washington University. He also served two combat tours in Vietnam as an infantry officer. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star for Valor.

Upon his retirement, Jerry entered a second career in education as a Junior ROTC Senior Instructor with the San Diego Unified School District, teaching at two high schools. He retired again in 1999 after serving for three years as Director of Military Science for the district. Jerry is a lifetime member of the Military Officers Association of America and Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA). He is a perpetual member of the Military Order of the World Wars. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors, Denver Centennial Chapter, AUSA. Jerry and Bonnie have been married for 37 years and reside in Loveland, Colorado. Between them there are seven grandchildren.  Bonnie’s son, Dan, and family live in San Diego, CA, her daughter, Kathy, and family live in Berthoud. CO and Jerry’s son, Bob, lives in Troutville, VA.

Mary Ann Llewellyn

Administrative Worship Assistant

Mary Ann Llewellyn is the Administrative Worship  Assistant and has served in this position for 9-plus years. She was one of the original staff of St Peters and began her service when St. Peter's was founded.  She provides the tools for our worship services throughout the seasons of the church year;  Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost.  She also provides the worship essentials for special Holy Days as well as Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals and other special services.

Kendra Schmidt

Nursery Coordinator

Kendra is an active member in Ministry. She is the flutist in our worship team and the Nursery caregiver. She is the Leader of the Ministry for Women at The Adventure Church and passionate in Empowering Women for Virtue through her training and coaching ministry.
